Life Calendar

See your whole life as a grid of weekly squares — one square per week, one row per year — with your exact age, weeks lived and weeks left.

Pick your date of birth — the calendar fills in as you type.

A life calendar is a perspective tool, not a prediction. The life expectancy figure is whatever you type in — it says nothing about your health, and nothing here is medical advice.

How it works

Each square is one week of your life. Rows are years, so every row holds 52 squares and the whole grid is life expectancy × 52 squares — 4,160 of them for 80 years. Square c of row r starts 7 × c days after your r-th birthday, so the rows always line up with your actual birthdays. A calendar year is about 52.18 weeks, so the last day or two of each year falls outside the 52 squares; those days still count in the "days lived" total, which is a true calendar-day count.

Your age is worked out the way birthdays are counted: whole years first, then whole months, then leftover days. "Weeks filled" counts only weeks you have completed, the red square is the week you are in right now, and "life elapsed" is filled squares divided by total squares. Add ?today=YYYY-MM-DD to the URL to draw the grid for a different reference date. Everything is computed in your browser — your birth date is never uploaded, stored or sent anywhere, and there are no ads or sign-ups.

Frequently asked questions

How many weeks are in a life?

A life calendar uses 52 squares per year, so an 80-year life is 4,160 weekly squares and a 90-year life is 4,680. Real years are about 52.18 weeks long, so the last day or two of each year falls outside the 52 squares — this tool keeps the rows lined up with your birthdays and reports days lived as a true calendar-day count alongside the grid.

How many weeks have I lived?

Enter your date of birth and the calculator counts every completed week: 52 for each birthday you have passed, plus the whole 7-day weeks since your most recent birthday. Born 1 January 1990 and checking on 1 July 2020, that is 30 × 52 = 1,560 squares plus 26 more, so 1,586 weeks lived out of 4,160 — 38.1% of an 80-year life.

Is my birth date sent anywhere?

No. The whole grid is drawn in your browser with plain JavaScript — your birth date and life expectancy are never uploaded, stored or logged, there is no sign-up, and the SVG download is generated locally so you can print your life calendar as a poster.
