Privacy
The short version: your files and whatever you type into a tool never leave your device, there are no accounts, and there are no tracking or advertising cookies. What follows is the long version, written from what the code actually does.
Your files and your input
Every tool on this site runs inside your own browser. When you pick a file, it is read from your device, processed on your device, and saved back to your device. It is never sent to us, so there is nothing for us to store, read, share or delete. The same goes for text you paste into a tool. You can check this yourself: load a tool page, turn off your internet connection, and it will still work.
What the site counts
We keep a small amount of anonymous data so we know which tools are worth improving. Each day we store a count of page views per page, a count of how many times each tool was used, and the search terms that returned no results so we know what to build next. None of this records what you used a tool on โ only that it was used.
To count returning visitors without identifying anyone, your IP address and browser user-agent are combined with a secret that changes every day and turned into a one-way hash. The original values are never written down, and because the secret rotates daily the hash cannot be used to follow you from one day to the next.
If you send feedback
The "Report a bug" and "Suggest a tool" buttons store exactly what you type: the message, which page you sent it from, and an email address only if you choose to add one. Leave the email blank and there is no way for us to contact you or connect the message to anything else. We use it to fix and build things, and we do not sell or share it.
What is stored in your browser
Your favourites, your recently used tools and your grid or list preference are saved in your browser's local storage. That is on your device, not on our server: we cannot read it, and it is never sent anywhere. Some tools also remember their own settings the same way, such as a high score or a saved city list. Clearing your browser data removes all of it, and the "Clear" button next to the recently used row removes that part on its own. If your browser blocks storage entirely, the site works normally and simply does not remember anything.
Cookies
There are none. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no consent banner to dismiss, because there is nothing to consent to.
Other companies
The site is hosted by Hostinger, who keep standard server logs. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google and Google sees your IP address in the process. There is no other third party involved: no analytics service, no tag manager, no social media widgets, and no advertising network.
Changes and contact
If what the site stores ever changes, this page changes with it. Questions, or want something removed? Use the "Report a bug" button at the bottom of any page.
