How it works
Pick a start date and an end date and every number updates instantly: the total days between the two dates, the same span written as years, months and days, whole weeks plus leftover days, and the totals in hours and minutes. Leap years and month lengths are handled exactly — the calculation counts real calendar days, so 1 January to 1 March 2024 is 60 days, not 59.
Business days count only Monday to Friday in the range, which is what you need for contract terms, notice periods and delivery windows; weekend days are shown separately. By default the end date is not counted (1 March to 2 March is 1 day) — tick Include the end date if you want both endpoints counted, the way holiday bookings and hotel stays are usually quoted. If you enter the dates the wrong way round, the difference is still shown as a positive number with a note.

Frequently asked questions
How many days are there between two dates?
Enter a start date and an end date and the total days appear instantly, counted as real calendar days with leap years and month lengths handled correctly. By default the end date is not counted, so 1 March to 2 March is 1 day; tick "Include the end date" to count both endpoints, which is how hotel stays and holiday bookings are usually quoted.
How do I calculate business days between two dates?
The Business days figure counts only Monday to Friday inside the range, so weekends are excluded automatically and the weekend days are shown separately. Public holidays vary by country and are not deducted, so subtract any bank holidays that fall inside your range if you need an exact working-day total.
Does the date difference calculator include the end date?
Not unless you ask it to. By default it measures the span between the two dates, which is what contracts and notice periods usually mean. Tick "Include the end date" and one extra day is added, so 1 January to 3 January becomes 3 days instead of 2, and every other figure, including business days, updates with it.
