How it works
Pick a size — either a preset or your own width and height — choose the background and text colours, and the placeholder is drawn instantly in the preview. Leave the label empty and the image is labelled with its own dimensions, which is what most mockups want. Download it as a PNG, JPG or WebP bitmap rendered with the Canvas API, or as a razor-sharp SVG that scales to any size and stays only a few hundred bytes.
You can also copy a data URL and paste it straight into an <img src> or a
CSS background-image, so your mockup needs no image hosting at all. Everything is
generated in your browser: there is no placeholder service to call, nothing is uploaded, the
images carry no watermark, and they keep working offline.

Yes. Each image is drawn in your browser with the Canvas API (or written out as plain SVG markup), so it contains only the size, colours and text you chose. There is no watermark, no attribution requirement and no placeholder service to call, which also means your mockups keep working offline and never break when a hosted placeholder domain goes down.
