How it works
Drop one image, tick the placements you publish to, and every size is rendered at once — Instagram square, portrait and story, Facebook post, cover and story, X post and header, LinkedIn post and banner, YouTube thumbnail and channel art, Pinterest pins and TikTok covers. Cover scales your image up until it fills the frame and crops the overflow evenly from both sides, so nothing is stretched; Contain fits the whole image inside the frame and pads the remaining space with the colour you choose, which is the safe option for logos and screenshots you cannot crop.
Everything happens in your browser with the Canvas API — your image is decoded, redrawn and encoded locally, and the ZIP archive is built on your device too, so nothing is uploaded to a server. Choose PNG for graphics and flat colour, JPG for photos when you want the smallest file, or WebP for the best size-to-quality ratio on modern platforms.
Frequently asked questions
What size should a social media image be?
It depends on the placement, which is why this tool ships the current recommended sizes as presets: Instagram post 1080×1080, Instagram portrait 1080×1350, Instagram story and Reel 1080×1920, Facebook post 1200×630, Facebook cover 820×312, X post 1600×900, X header 1500×500, LinkedIn post 1200×627, LinkedIn banner 1584×396, YouTube thumbnail 1280×720, YouTube channel art 2560×1440, Pinterest pin 1000×1500 and TikTok 1080×1920. Tick the placements you publish to and every size is rendered at once.
How do I resize an image for Instagram without cropping it?
Switch the Fit control from Cover to Contain. Cover scales the image up until it fills the frame and crops the overflow evenly from both sides, while Contain fits the entire image inside the frame and pads the leftover space with the colour you pick — nothing is cut off and nothing is stretched. Contain is the safe choice for logos, screenshots and text-heavy graphics.
Can I resize one image for multiple platforms at once?
Yes. Select as many presets as you like — or hit Select all for every platform — and each size is previewed immediately. Download any single size with its row button, or use Download all as ZIP to get the whole batch in one archive. The images and the ZIP are generated in your browser with the Canvas API, so your photo is never uploaded, there is no account and no watermark.
