How it works
A WhatsApp click-to-chat link opens a chat with your number and drops a message straight into
the input box, so the visitor only has to hit send. This tool normalises whatever you type โ
+1 (555) 123-4567, 001 555 123 4567 or plain digits โ into the
digits-only form WhatsApp expects, then URL-encodes your message into
https://wa.me/15551234567?text=โฆ. Leave the number blank and you get a
message-only link that lets the visitor pick any contact.
Copy the raw link for your bio, WhatsApp Business profile, ad or email signature, or copy the ready-made HTML anchor for your website. The QR code is drawn on a canvas in your browser and downloads as a PNG for flyers, posters, packaging or a shop window. Everything โ the number, the message, the QR code โ is generated locally with JavaScript: nothing is uploaded, there is no redirect service in the middle, and the link never expires.
Frequently asked questions
How do I create a WhatsApp link with a prefilled message?
Type your phone number with the country code and no leading zero, then write the message you want the visitor to see already typed in their chat box. The tool builds https://wa.me/15551234567?text=Your%20message instantly and URL-encodes the message for you, so emoji, line breaks and punctuation survive. Copy the link into your Instagram bio, ad, email signature or WhatsApp Business profile, or copy the ready-made HTML anchor to drop straight into a web page.
What format does the phone number need to be in?
WhatsApp expects digits only in full international format: country code followed by the number, with no plus sign, spaces, dashes, brackets or leading zero. You can paste it however you like here, such as +1 (555) 123-4567 or 0044 20 7946 0000, and the generator strips the formatting and leading zeros for you. Leave the number blank and you get a message-only link that lets the person choose which contact to send it to.
Do these WhatsApp links expire or track clicks?
No. The link points directly at wa.me (or api.whatsapp.com), which is WhatsApp's own domain, so there is no short-link service in the middle that could expire, rebrand or count your clicks. Everything is generated in your browser with JavaScript, so the number and message are never uploaded, and there is no sign-up, watermark or limit on how many links and QR codes you make.
