How it works
A WhatsApp click-to-chat link opens a chat with your number and drops a message straight into
the input box, so the visitor only has to hit send. This tool normalises whatever you type —
+1 (555) 123-4567, 001 555 123 4567 or plain digits — into the
digits-only form WhatsApp expects, then URL-encodes your message into
https://wa.me/15551234567?text=…. Leave the number blank and you get a
message-only link that lets the visitor pick any contact.

What format does the phone number need to be in?

Do these WhatsApp links expire or track clicks?
No. The link points directly at wa.me (or api.whatsapp.com), which is WhatsApp's own domain, so there is no short-link service in the middle that could expire, rebrand or count your clicks. Everything is generated in your browser with JavaScript, so the number and message are never uploaded, and there is no sign-up, watermark or limit on how many links and QR codes you make.
