How it works

Drop an image, type your watermark text (or drop a logo file), and the preview redraws instantly as you change the position, size, opacity or rotation. Everything is painted with the Canvas API inside your own browser — neither your photo nor your logo is ever uploaded, so you can safely watermark client work, screenshots and documents.

Tips: white text with the drop shadow enabled stays readable on both light and dark photos, an opacity around 30–50% marks an image without spoiling it, and Tile across the whole image repeats the text edge to edge so a watermark can't simply be cropped away. Downloads keep the original format for PNG, JPEG and WebP images; anything else is saved as PNG.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a watermark to a photo for free?

Drop your photo on this page, type your watermark text (or switch to "Logo image" and drop a PNG logo), then set the position, size, opacity and rotation. The preview updates instantly and the Download button saves the watermarked image. It is completely free, with no sign-up and no file limits.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The watermark is drawn with the Canvas API inside your own browser, so neither your photo nor your logo ever leaves your device. That makes it safe for client work, contracts, screenshots and other sensitive images — and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

Can I add a logo image as a watermark instead of text?

Yes. Choose "Logo image" as the watermark type and drop any image file — a PNG with a transparent background looks best. You can then scale the logo as a percentage of the photo's width and place, rotate and fade it exactly like a text watermark.
