How it works
List every subscription with its price and how often it bills, and the calculator normalises each one to a yearly figure — weekly × 52, every two weeks × 26, monthly × 12, quarterly × 4, twice a year × 2, yearly × 1 — then divides that annual total by 12, 52 and 365 to give the monthly, weekly and daily cost. That is why a £25-a-week gym is far more expensive than a £139-a-year Prime membership even though the sticker price looks smaller. The breakdown table sorts your services by annual cost and shows each one's share of the total, so the real money pits are obvious at a glance.

The projection uses a geometric series, total = A · ((1 + g)n − 1) / g, so a yearly price increase compounds the way real subscription hikes do, and the "if invested instead" figure is the future value of an ordinary annuity — today's monthly total paid in at the end of every month and compounded monthly at the return you set.
