How it works
Paste a headline and it is scored out of 100 the moment you stop typing. The analyzer measures length in characters and words, classifies the headline as a list, how-to, question or general headline, and splits every word into common, uncommon, emotional and power words — the balance that makes a title feel specific instead of generic. It also shows how the headline is truncated in a Google result at roughly 60 characters, so you can see what searchers actually read.
The word lists and the scoring rules are built into the page, so the whole analysis runs in your browser with plain JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, no account is needed, and no headline you test is ever stored or sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How is the headline score calculated?
The score is the sum of six checks worth 100 points in total: length in characters (25), word count (20), power words (15), emotional words (15), the share of uncommon words (15) and the headline format — list, how-to or question (10). Every check and the points it earned are listed in the breakdown, so you can see exactly why a headline scored what it did.
What is the ideal headline length for SEO?
Aim for 40 to 60 characters and 6 to 12 words. Google typically truncates a result title at around 60 characters, so anything longer risks being cut off mid-thought; the tool shows a live Google preview and tells you how many characters would be hidden.
Is my headline sent anywhere or stored?
No. The word lists and scoring rules are built into the page and everything runs in your browser with JavaScript. No headline is uploaded, logged or stored, there is no account or email required, and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
