How it works
Press Flip and the coin lands on heads or tails straight away. Each toss uses your
browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues),
so every flip is an independent, unbiased 50/50 draw — not a repeating pattern and not
seeded from the clock. Set “Coins per flip” to toss up to 100 coins at once when you
need a quick sample, and the running tally shows heads, tails, total flips and the
percentage split so you can watch it converge on 50/50 over many tosses.
The full history of your session is kept in the page, and Copy results or Download .txt exports the tally plus the flip-by-flip log. Everything happens locally in your browser: no server decides the outcome, nothing is uploaded, and there are no ads or trackers.
Frequently asked questions
Is an online coin flip really 50/50?
Yes. Every toss on this page is an independent draw with an exact 50% chance of heads and 50% chance of tails — previous flips have no influence on the next one. Over a small number of flips you will often see a lopsided split (that is normal), but the percentages converge on 50/50 as the total grows.
How random is this coin flip?
Each flip reads a fresh byte from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, crypto.getRandomValues, and uses its lowest bit. That is the same randomness source browsers use for security tokens — it is not seeded from the clock and has no repeating pattern, unlike simple Math.random tricks.
Can I flip more than one coin at a time?
Yes. Set "Coins per flip" to any number from 1 to 100 and press Flip to toss the whole batch at once. The result line shows how many heads and tails came up in that batch, the stat panel keeps a running total across every flip, and Copy results or Download .txt exports the tally plus the flip-by-flip log.
